Food and drinks like never before at the 2019 Genesis Open
Los Angeles is known as one of the top foodie cities with cuisine from around the world. The Genesis Open is known to host the world’s best professional golfers every year. The diverse food and beverage culture of LA will share the spotlight with golf’s biggest stars during the 2019 Genesis Open. All guests in attendance will have an abundant selection of food items representing a variety of cuisines and flavors. As you make your way around the hallowed grounds of Riviera be sure to sample your favorite eats along the way.
Local restaurant are always popular at a sporting event and the Genesis Open has new pop up locations from SLAB and Lemonade on-course. SLAB barbecue – located in The Landing, a new fan dining and entertainment venue on 18 fairway – will be serving up authentic Texas-style brisket and pulled pork sandwiches with everything being smoked onsite. Bibigo is bringing its authentic Korean flavors to the course with Korean galbi tacos, fried chicken bites and crispy mandu dumplings. Lemonade will offer their signature seasonal snacks and classic, ice cold lemonades. If a refreshing island-inspired drink is more your style, Melissa’s Produce will have fresh coconuts available for purchase near The Range. Both signature beverages make for a perfect treat while walking around Riviera.
Food trucks have been a staple in LA and at the Genesis Open for a number of years. 2019 will be no different with six of LA’s favorite’s to be featured in The Promenade (Thursday – Sunday). Whether you are in the mood for barbecue or seafood, pizza or tacos, sandwiches or desert; satisfy your cravings with daily featured items from Cousins Maine Lobster, Pink Taco, WISE BBQ, Deli Doctor, Made in Brooklyn truck and Coolhaus.
In addition to the restaurants and food trucks, the concession locations around the course feature a variety of new menu items. There is a food item for everyone to enjoy including carnitas tacos and quesadillas from Cali Cantina on 17 green, southland fried chicken at The BLVD, the west coast burger and Farmer John Dodger Dog at The Range, pulled pork sliders, wings and garlic fries at vineyard vines club, and bar favorites like grilled Italian sausage and chicken nachos at The Ultra Club on 2 green.
Access to the Riviera clubhouse is always a prized ticket at the Genesis Open. With an elevated dining experience this year and unique dining settings inside and outside, the clubhouse is the place to be. Start your day with a Bloody Mary and signature breakfast burrito while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Riviera grounds. Wrap up the day by dining on a Kobe burger, Ahi Tuna sandwich or signature quinoa salad in the prime social scene of the ballroom, while staying up date on all the action with numerous large TV viewing screens.
All the eating and walking the course is sure to make you thirsty. Get refreshed with an ice-cold Michelob ULTRA or a wide variety craft beers from Golden Road Brewery. The GREY GOOSE 19thHole is the perfect spot to take in the action with views of 10 tee and 18 green, while enjoying a refreshing Back Nine signature cocktail.
