University of Kentucky’s Lukas Euler won the 2019 Genesis Open Collegiate Showcase, earning an exemption into the field of 144 players set to compete February 14-17 at The Riviera Country Club. San Jose State, led by Genesis Open professional Scott Brown and San Jose State senior Kevin Velo, won the team competition.
The majority of the 144-player field for next week’s Genesis Open was confirmed today. The Genesis Open field is highlighted by: tournament host, 80-time PGA TOUR winner and 14-time major champion Tiger Woods; defending Genesis Open champion and three-time tournament winner Bubba Watson; World No. 3 and 2017 Genesis Open champion Dustin Johnson; World No. 4 Justin Thomas; World No. 5 Bryson DeChambeau;World No. 6 Jon Rahm; World No. 7 and current PGA TOUR FedExCup points leader Xander Schauffele; World No. 9 Rory McIlroy; three-time major champion Jordan Spieth; and43-time PGA TOUR winner, five-time major champ and 2008 and 2009 tournament championPhil Mickelson.

Awarded since 2009, the exemption has represented the advancement of diversity in the game of golf. 2019 marks the 50thanniversary of Sifford’s 1969 LA Open victory, his second and final PGA TOUR victory.
